SQR Dub:

The bass on the first track is totally killer. Seriously sick stuff. The echo on the NES synth is also very pleasing. A good solid track to get the ball rolling. Letting us know from the outset what to expect.

2A03 Dub:

The second track is so relaxed and smooth, I feel I should be horizontal while listening. Good use of that dub delay and effects. The 8-bit elements all fit nicely into the mix and add a real charm!

Aural Pyramidz:

I like the trippy little NES arps on the next track but I feel they are a bit underused to be honest. They could e brought add more to add even more creepiness to this tune.

How we DUB it:

Not too much to say about the Busta Rhymes and Missy Elliot track. I’m not familiar with the originals. production-wise though, it is certainly very solid.

Touch IT:

The next track (rework of a rework) is very funky indeed. Really working the skank!! The use of vocals sparingly is a good choice in my opinion.

Gangstahz:

What follows is a kick-drum driven thumper that has a strong 4-to-the floor element, a real surprising and not unwelcome addition to the set.

Movement is moody, deep, and move back into the dubbiest of dub of the whole mix. Very well produced with just the right amount of dubstep injected.

Luv n hap-E NES seems to be the only filler track on the compilation whihc is a shame. I would have liked to see this head even further into the ghetto tech sound.

CHa chA is sketchy, grimy, and funky. Love the groove going on here! A definite head-nodder or ass-shaker depending on your disposition.

YM buck ‘n’ donk:

The final track wraps up our journey through nintendub and nintendubstep excellently. Not being familiar with music making the Atari ST, I cannot comment on the technical prowess being showed off here, but it certainly seems like it would be quite a job to make such lush beats on such limited technology. Thanks for sharing!
