Few screenies here about what’s coming up… We will try to aim next release to be also available for individuals, so that has taken some time from us (had to develop separate mod install tool and such for it), but now we are mostly just waiting for the bugfixes for 1.0 and next release that could be merged into Edu!
But for the screenies, here we go:

[Review] ??? - Wall you need is love
Available for download on Pause - here. Where to begin? Well, how about I say that I absolutely adore ???. I can name my top 3 artists (I’m not going to) and ??? is without a doubt in there. I mean, come on… Every song he produces is amazing!
I’ve identified three key elements that set him apart from almost all other artists out there:
Unbelievable sound design.

[Review] Psilodump - Metronomnomnom
This release can be downloaded here: http://www.8bitpeoples.com/discography/8BP114
Didn’t know quite what to expect from this release… but got more than I ever could have expected! Banging techno, lush melodies, and wonderful song craftsmanship are what awaits the listener here. Really nice blend of (predominantly) chip meets (sparingly used) well… non-chip. But who cares, cos...

[Review] Coova and little-scale - 2 Warriors
Available here: http://www.8bitpeoples.com/discography
General comments It’s hard to tell where Coova ends and little-scale begins. The combination is that perfect. Initially dark riffs accompanied by melodies that could melt your heart. Being based in Japan myself and having heard Coova play various ‘new songs’ at her monthly event, I recognize various elements of the EP,...

[Review] The 486 kid - Nintendub
Available to purchase here: http://the486kid.com/Store
Listen to the full release as a continuous mix here: http://soundcloud.com/486/nintendub SQR Dub:
The bass on the first track is totally killer. Seriously sick stuff. The echo on the NES synth is also very pleasing. A good solid track to get the ball rolling. Letting us know from the outset what to expect. 2A03 Dub:
The second track is...

Yarn Ball: Very very modern sound. James Blake and other producers of the more melodically driven dubstep spring to mind. The swirling synths, swooping chords and off-beat...
[Review] Noisewaves - Self titled e.p.
Download from his bandcamp: http://noisewaves.bandcamp.com/
Regardless of the generic “chip” label that will almost certainly be attached to any music—such as this—that chooses defunct games consoles and depleted technologies for it’s sound aesthetics, this is the most beautiful music I have heard so far this year. Strongly reminiscent of god speed, and Icelandic bands such as...

[Review] SMILETRON - Control
Available here
Vestige: 8-bit worked seamlessly into the more polished and modern Live and Logic combo. As epic as it gets. The tempo changes throughout the whole EP are really well done, giving the listener a chance to rest before the ever present thick-as-a-log kick and baseline bruisers come back to knock your socks off once more. There is a really sweet section in the middle with not...
